Photography is something that has always intrigued me. As far as I can remember, I've enjoyed photographing things, but never really felt inspired as an artist. As the years have progressed, I've found myself learning more and more about the aspect of photography, and what I want to do with it. I have an extreme interest in photojournalism (actually what I'm pursuing for my degree) and like to capture actual events and natural poses. I don't like setting someone down in a studio with all sorts of fancy lighting equipment, I prefer everything be as natural as possible.
.: My Design
My first intentions when returning to school were to pursue graphic design, so I looked for a job doing design, and actually landed one at the local newspaper. It wasn't until almost a year there, that I got to sit down and finally start working on designing actual ads. I've had an eye for design for a long time, and have noticed what works and what doesn't over the course of my time, not only at the newspaper, but my time as an artist.
.: Who I am
In a nutshell, I'm not the average student at your local university. I'm actually a veteran of the Air Force, and I spent 6 years traveling the world working on aircraft. Most likely this is the reason I am such a perfectionist when it comes to my work. But I strive for excellence in all that I do, not just because that is an Air Force "Core Value" but because I truely believe it. I love my work, and thoroughly enjoy pleasing everyone I work with. I want them to leave happy as much as I want to leave pleased with what I've done.
